Mpavilion

Making of the famous MPavilion with parametric design.

Mpavilion is a temporary pavilion in queen Victoria gardens, Melbourne. It is redesigned and reconstructed every year. This project was launched in 2014, so FAR, many famous architects were involved in the commission.

The central pavilion platform is sunken, to create a point of interest. The concept behind the design is growth in nature, for example, trees and shrubs. The pavilion structure and the locations of the marble slabs are created using grasshopper(rhino), to present as randomness but in fact following rules.
